Relieving Muscle Cramps The Natural Way Posted By : Michael Corvin

Filed under: Medicine — webmaster @ 12:13 pm

Almost everyone has at least experienced once in their lives having muscle cramps, either during their sleep or while playing a sport, possibly while they were swimming or unexpectedly just out of nowhere and for no apparent reason. Having muscle cramps is said to result from muscles’ electrolyte shortages of substances such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. When this happens. the muscle suddenly contracts involuntarily, may prolong for a long period of time, before it slowly relaxes leaving a painful sensation in the area of the muscle that has just had a cramp. When this happens, a person can sometimes just ignore the remaining sensation, however, some muscle cramps recur frequently while some even last for hours. It is these latter situations that are difficult to treat or find solution to and may need professional help already. Despite of this, some natural or home-made remedies are still available for people to make use of on their own . Below are just some of the commonly practiced treatment procedures. Not all treatments, however, are assured to work or are proven to be effective in all instances.

-Eating salt or any food that has salt to increase your level of sodium in the body

-Eating bananas to increase the level of potassium in the body

-Eating some spinach or broccoli to increase the level of magnesium in the body

-Eating yoghurt or drink milk to increase the calcium level of the body

-Applying magnesium oil topically on the area that frequently experiences having cramps. Magnesium oil is not easy to find in local stores within your area and is much easier to purchase on-line.

-Consuming pickle juice or dill relish is said to provide immediate relief for charlie horses or leg cramps

-Instant relief is also obtained by using camphor water in coconut oil and to be applied topically on the area that is frequently experiencing cramps.

-Pulling the toes upward toward the knees as soon as the cramp happens.

-Holding some pennies for a few minutes is said to provide instant relief from muscle cramps

-More of as a preventive measure, take two teaspoons of honey everyday before or after meals.

The exact amount of dosage of these natural remedies, however, are difficult to determine especially the level of its effectiveness relative to the amount of the substances that are being used or taken. This is one of the disadvantages of using herbal or home-made remedies. When these treatments are already exhausted and the painful condition such as muscle cramps still persist, it is better to immediately take prescription medication such as Soma to relax the muscles. Soma is among the most prescribed muscle relaxant medications that provide fast and efficient relief to certain health conditions.

Natural or home-made remedies have the advantage of avoiding certain side-effects from occurring which may primarily be brought about by use of drugs or medications. On the other hand, over-the-counter or prescription drugs can boast of being scientifically-based, measurable, and efficiently controlled. Aside from these characteristics of medications, it is also important to note if these drugs are made from well-known pharmaceutical companies and have the assurance of being of high quality. Finally, it is also practical to look for some medications offered on-line that are of reasonably low prices without having to compromise the quality of the drug itself.

Hypnosis Scripts Are Hidden Treasures Posted By :

Filed under: Medicine — webmaster @ 12:13 pm

There are many resources available for therapists on the world wide web, and they are of a varying quality. I personally find it more reassuring to receive my resources from credible sources and tend to trust books that can be purchased from the shops rather than documents published on the web (although this doesn’t always denote quality- I’ve read some pretty good articles in my time and read some pretty dodgy books!) I tend to put more faith into those who I know whose work has accredited by some kind of an awarding body, rather than someone who just seems to have an idea of what they are talking about, but their work is perhaps not verified from any other sources. Though often it can seem as if I’m looking at a huge map, trying to decide where I might be able to locate the treasure.

I have often had to use information from the world wide web when I’ve needed to get some instant access to information. For example, a client has called me with a problem and wants to see me - in half an hour, they’re on their way over now, and they have given me a brief outline of their problem and they want to start solving it today. Obviously from my consultation with them I’m, going to get some good ideas about what steps I need to make to start shifting the problem, and it’s also great if I know that there is access to some other guidance that I can either use, or that can inspire me, that is of a high quality, written by someone who knows what they are talking about. In this kind of a situation, I’m not necessarily going to have enough time to go out, research the subject and all of it’s components, buy a book from the local book store (or more long winded still, have to order it and wait 2 weeks for it to arrive.)

So even though I haven’t got the resources I need in my preferred way, I have the resources, I got them quickly and I trust their quality. How beneficial is it going to be for you to do the same?

What I would like to do is to direct you to a website that offers resources to therapists. These resources range from Hypnotherapy scripts that can be instantly downloaded in a PDF format, E-books, which can be instantly downloaded in a PDF format and audios, which can also be instantly downloaded in an MP3 format. You might like to use them as a therapist from a reference or inspirational point of view, or you might just be someone in need of something. Some extra confidence, or weight loss skills. Maybe you want to quit smoking or become more assertive or perhaps you need to heal in some way. You might just be a regular kind of a person who wants to be better than you currently are. Either way, you’ll find this website very useful and amongst the reasonably priced resources, there are even some free ones.

And whilst you are considering what it is that you need, and finding it very easy to find the information and you are very quick to access it, you’ll notice all of the other resources that would be useful for you to have, that you didn’t even realize that you wanted. And you can access those quickly too. Then you’ll be so pleased with everything that you have, you’ll want to share with everyone… to let them know the site where the treasure can be discovered.

How To Write Hypnosis Scripts Posted By :

Filed under: Medicine — webmaster @ 12:13 pm

Hypnotherapy and NLP are therapies that come hand in hand in many ways. One of the main chunks in an NLP training is about language, and this includes the Milton model and the Meta model. The Milton model is used to induct trance experience and the Meta model is used to create the reverse effect, to create greater specificity and an “out of trance” experience. These are both components of a traditional NLP training programme and are also key components in hypnotherapy. In addition, NLP covers many different types of language techniques and patterns which can assist you, when you decide to create a hypnosis script.

There are many different patterns that can be used to create a very good hypnotherapy induction script. Here are some examples of what these are:

Double Binds:

“You will go into a trance now, or in a few moments, Either way you are relaxing.”

This patterns gives the illusion of choice, however which ever choice the client makes, they will still end up going into a hypnotic trance.

Cause and Effect:

“If you listen to my voice, then you will go into a trance, because you are wanting to learn many new things.”

This pattern implies that one thing causes another, even though logically there may be no link between the cause of one thing on another. If the client accepts the plausibility of one thing being linked to another, then they will be.

Intonation Patterns:

“As you begin to relax more, you’ll find that changing is much easier than you had ever imagined.”

This pattern is used to express emphasis on particular words within a sentence to give an embedded command. So in the sentence above, the following words could be accentuated “relax more” “changing is much easier.”

Mind reading:

“You know that I’m wanting you to relax more, and I know that you truly can…”

This pattern is when the therapist claims within the hypnosis script, that they know the thoughts or feelings of the client, without explaining the process by which they came to know.

Not knowing, not doing:

“You don’t have to listen to me, you don’t even have to try to go into a trance, you can just know that everything is happening just as it should be, in exactly the way you want it to.”

This pattern uses negation to direct the client towards whatever it is that you want them to do. This displaces resistance and works very well with embedded commands.

Metaphors:

“You can feel on top of the world…”

Metaphors are symbols to explain in a short and simple way something that has a greater or deeper meaning. The above metaphor is simply a sentence to explain being happy, feeling good and being in control. However a transformational metaphor could be a whole story which is used to symbolize how the client can overcome their problem. Transformational metaphors and nested loops are explained in more detail in “How to create excellent hypnosis scripts” an E-book designed to assist you in writing hypnosis scripts for hypnotherapy purposes.

Sensory Predicates:

“Allow that feeling of relaxation wash over you …as your eyes begin to gently close …so that you see the backs of your dark lids and you listen only to the sound of my voice.”

These are words that relate to the senses that are included in the sentence that you structure in your hypnotic script. During hypnosis the senses are heightened and the use of these words can encourage your client to become more engage in the experience of the trance.

Altace : What you should know about about Altace medication Posted By : David Parton

Filed under: Medicine — webmaster @ 12:13 pm

It is quite possible to lead a normal active lifestyle even after suffering from a heart attack. Use of drugs such as Altace, which fall in to the family of medications known as ACE inhibitors, can also increase life expectancy with patients who have a potential for heart failure.

Your body produces a chemical called Angiotensin II. This substance narrows your blood vessels and affects many areas of your cardiovascular system. The regular use of an (ACE) inhibitor such as Aceon will help relax the blood vessels and increase the blood flow so your heart won’t have to work so hard.

What health conditions are incompatible with Altace medication?

If you suffer from any other health problems it is essential to consult your physician about any possible adverse effects of the consumption of the Altace medication in conjunction with other drugs. Only your doctor can suggest an appropriate treatment regimen that is suitable to your particular condition and takes in account your medical history.

Used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure, Altace medication, canl ead to compications and is sometimes incompatible with diabetes and liver dysfunctions. Altace medication is also not recommended for patients on dialysis or suffering from a pre-existing condition such as some kidney diseases

A dosage adjustment is often required in case you need to administrate Altace medication in combination with some drugs prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis or scleroderma. During the treatment, medical tests may be required by your doctor to make sure that the overall health condition is stable.

How should I take Altace medication?

Following the recommended dosage prescribed by your doctor you make consume Altace with or without food. Many other high blood pressure drugs have more restrictive requirements when it comes to the actual administraton of the medication.

There are components in Altace medication that may make you thirsty and can lead to dehydration. So, it is essential to maintain a consistent intake of fluids on a daily basis by consuming plenty of fresh clean water.

What could happen if you fail to drink enough liquid while on Altace medication? Well, unfortunately consequences may be very severe: low blood pressure, kidney failure or electrolyte disorders are among the most serious ones.

In case you experience diarrhea or vomiting episodes, it is crucial that you keep a safe hydration level during Altace medication; you may even turn to perfusion liquid administration if it be the case.

Consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden while being treated with Altace medication. Alcohol can destabilize the effects of the drug and lower the blood pressure further which may lead to a very dangerous and volatile health condition.

Close monitoring of the blood pressure is required while using Altace medication, since the doctor needs to make a chart of your evolution to see whether the treatment is effective or not.

High blood pressure does not need to impede you from enjoying a robust and healthy life. An appropriate diet and exercise program combined with a medication regimen prescribed by your doctor is often all it takes to maintain a productive and vigorous lifestyle.
